Learning outcomes
PLO 6. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means of language and speech techniques to achieve the planned pragmatic result and organize successful communication. PLO 8. Evaluate historical achievements and the latest achievements of literary studies. PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 11. Carry out scientific analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastery of the disciplines "Introduction to Linguistics", "Theoretical Grammar of Hindi", "Hindi Stylistics", "Hindi Lexicology", "Theory and Practice of Hindi Translation", "Genre Features of Hindi Translation", "Methodology and Methods of Translation Studies". Knowledge of the basic techniques of Hindi literary translation. Knowledge of traditional approaches to Hindi literary translation. Possession of the skills of literary translation from Hindi into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into Hindi.
Course content
The purpose of the course is to familiarize students with the theoretical and practical foundations of literary translation in the process of training general translators, and to demonstrate in practice the specifics of literary translation as a professional activity.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and practical classes: consideration of theoretical models and transformations. Independent work: literary translation of texts of various genres. Methods: discussions, oral presentations, work with sources (abstracts). Tasks: creative, research and written works, projects. Analysis: literary-historical and linguistic analysis of texts.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment includes semester control (max. 60 points) and exam (max. 40 points). Methods: Oral answers, discussions, tests. Essays, presentations, projects. Modular tests. Criteria: 90-100: in-depth knowledge, argumentation. 75-89: free presentation, minor errors. 60-74: lack of depth, inaccuracies. 1-59: fragmentation, lack of independence.
