Learning outcomes
PRN 16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge from the field of Hindi philology to solve complex tasks and problems that require updating and integrating knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete/insufficient information and conflicting requirements. PRN 22. Apply knowledge on the issues of linguistic, cultural and literary relations in the East-West aspect, primarily between Ukraine and India.

Successful mastery of the disciplines "Introduction to Linguistics", "Linguistics of India", "Ancient Oral Indian Literature", "Medieval Indian Literature", "Ancient Indian Mythology", "Hindi Stylistics", "Hindi Lexicology", "Genre Features of Hindi Translation",. Knowledge of the history of Indian literature. Knowledge of the linguistics of India.
Course content
The purpose of the academic discipline is to familiarize students with the linguistic factor of the interaction of Eastern and Western types of civilization, cultural and religious values, and their combination in modern literature and art.
Recommended or required reading and other learning resources/tools
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and practical classes to study theory and text analysis. Independent work: reading articles, watching videos, preparing essays and presentations. Methods: discussions, creative and research tasks, work with search engines and projects.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment includes semester and final activities: Semester (60 points): oral answers and discussions (20 points), tests (10 points), essay/presentation (10 points), two module papers (20 points). Exam (40 points): two theoretical questions and practice. Criteria: depth of knowledge, argumentation, independence and use of sources are assessed. Admission to the exam — min. 36 points.
