Learning outcomes
PLO 8. Evaluate historical achievements and the latest achievements of literary studies. PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 11. Carry out scientific analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. PLO 16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge from the field of Hindi philology to solve complex tasks and problems that require updating and integrating knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete/insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of the professional disciplines "Linguistics and Regional Studies of India", "History of Hindi Literature (Ancient and Classical Periods)", "Ancient Indian Mythology"; 2) knowledge of the features of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the modern Hindi language, obtained from a practical course of the Hindi language.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to familiarize students with the best examples of religious-philosophical and artistic Hindi-language films based on the ancient Indian epic, to provide an idea of ​​the reflection of the ancient Indian epic in the modern film industry, oriented towards a wide audience, its features and characteristic features.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is carried out on a 100-point scale (minimum 60 points for passing). Methods and measures: Oral work: answers and discussions (up to 5 points). Tests: knowledge testing (up to 10 points). Research: essay or presentation (up to 10 points). Control: modular (10 points) and final (20 points) work. Criteria are based on completeness of knowledge, argumentation, independence of judgments and use of literature.
