Learning outcomes
PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, and folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge from the field of Hindi philology to solve complex tasks and problems that require updating and integrating knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete/insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastery of the professional disciplines "Introduction to Special Philology", "Theory and Practice of Translation", "Stylistics of Language", "Linguistic and Stylistic Features of Business Communication"; Knowledge of the features of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the modern Hindi language, obtained from a practical course of the Hindi language.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to teach students to adequately translate Hindi-language texts of a humorous nature; to translate fixed phrases and language clichés from the relevant texts; to perform oral translation in both directions; to improve active vocabulary from the relevant vocabulary.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and seminars: study of humor theory and text analysis. Practical classes: translation and linguistic analysis of humorous discourse. Methods: explanatory and illustrative, problem-based presentation, interactive and project technologies. Control: test.
Assessment methods and criteria
Methods: current control (oral answers, essays), modular tests and independent work. Criteria: completeness of the topic disclosure, correctness of translation, logic and activity in classes are assessed. Scale: 100-point system (credit). Minimum threshold: 60 points for successful completion.
