Learning outcomes
LO21.1 Use interactive methods necessary to ensure the methodological process of teaching the Crimean Tatar language and literature, as well as English and Turkish, in higher education institutions.
LO25.1 Apply knowledge of linguistic, psychological, and didactic foundations in practice, taking into account optimal methods and techniques for teaching the Crimean Tatar, Turkish, and English languages in higher education.
LO26.1 Select modern teaching methods and techniques, as well as assessment technologies and formats, in accordance with the goals and objectives of improving learning outcomes, taking into account the academic (educational and scientific) context.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know:
1) classical and modern methods of teaching foreign languages;
2) the core linguistics courses in accordance with the curriculum for the Bachelor’s degree program;
3) the fundamental principles of the pedagogical process in higher education.
Be able to:
1) apply theoretical principles of modern language pedagogy in pedagogical discourse;
2) conduct a comparative analysis of teaching and methodological literature by topic;
3) plan individual structural components of a lesson in accordance with the chosen topic.
Possess:
1) digital literacy skills (appropriate use of ICT in foreign language classes);
2) skills in the analytical selection and application of advanced foreign teaching methods.
Course content
This course focuses on the study of contemporary strategies and methodological models for teaching English in the context of higher education. The course covers the analysis of classical and innovative language teaching approaches (including communicative, cognitive, cultural, and competency-based approaches), as well as methods for implementing them in the training of specialists in various fields. The aim of the course is to equip future teachers with a system of professional knowledge regarding contemporary language teaching paradigms and to develop practical skills in designing the teaching process, taking into account the specific nature of higher education. The course consists of two content modules; classes are conducted in the form of lectures and seminars in Ukrainian. The course is taught over one semester and concludes with an exam.
