Learning outcomes
PLO 3. Apply modern methods and technologies, in particular information technologies, for the successful and effective implementation of professional activities and ensuring the quality of research in a specific philological field.
PLO 8. Evaluate historical achievements and the latest achievements of literary studies.
PLO 11. Carry out scientific analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data.
PLO 26.3. Carry out literary and critical analysis in the form of literary and critical articles, reviews, etc. of works of fiction.
PLO 28.3. Analyze and interpret the artistic features of literary works - in the context of the development of art (painting, architecture, sculpture, etc.).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know the main characteristics of the means and methods of writing, handwritten and printed sources of text as a type of human activity. Be able to: collect and interpret information about the features and functioning of literature in different historical periods; apply basic concepts in the analysis of literary and artistic phenomena; plan and evaluate their own work; use interactive and multimedia tools. Possess elementary skills in scientific research and information management; critical attitude to the analyzed phenomena; use of foreign-language professional information sources; work with literary texts; produce complex oral and written messages; interact and cooperate in learning in situations of a search nature.
Course content
The discipline involves classroom work in the form of practical classes and independent work aimed at studying manuals, critical reading of handwritten and printed texts, creative tasks in artistic writing. During the study of the discipline, students master the secrets of the artist's creative laboratory, the specifics of writing works of art, and borrow the experience of Ukrainian writers (master classes).

Types of work: oral response, heuristic conversation, creative project, creative task (essay, review), abstract task.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system.
During the semester, assessment is carried out in accordance with the types of work and forms of control described in clause 7.1. The credit is issued based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures.
The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the processing of theoretical material to prepare for the classroom: oral answers, heuristic conversations, participation in the discussion, project presentation) and for independent work (preparation of a project presentation).
Students who have scored a minimum positive number of points - 60, receive "passed". Students who have not scored a minimum positive number of points - 60, receive "failed".
