Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must: successfully master the academic disciplines: "Introduction to Literary Studies", "Theory of Literature", "History of Ukrainian Literature".
Know:
• the basics of literary analysis of works of art and theoretical approaches to understanding the specifics of the literary process of a certain period;
• the main characteristics of postmodernism, post-postmodernism, modernism, neo-populism, neo-avant-garde;
• the role of the critic/critic in the modern cultural space.
Be able to:
• orally and in writing formulate one's own thoughts and judgments based on knowledge from the course of the history of Ukrainian literature, literary theory;
• analyze the genre and style features of works;
• highlight the problem and thematic features of the literary movement.
Possess elementary skills:
• determine the genre and style features of the analyzed text, theme, issues, style features;
• write reviews, feedback, reviews;
• apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
Course content
The discipline "Modern Ukrainian Criticism: Genres, Figures, Magazines" involves clarifying the role of criticism in the formation of social, aesthetic, moral and ethical views of readers, in the dialogue of the writer (work) - critic - reader, as well as its functions and their transformations in the modern cultural space. The issues of the platforms of modern criticism - magazines, literary Internet platforms, blogs; about its genres and their transformations, with the help of which the trends in the development of modern Ukrainian literature are generalized, about the brightest representatives of the critical workshop of today, their achievements, and skill are highlighted.

Types of work: oral response, creative tasks.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system.
The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work, which synthesizes independent work on the study of theoretical material to prepare for the classroom (oral answers, additions, homework) and independent practical work (analysis, editing texts, presentation defense), as well as independent work (preparation of a presentation).
The final assessment is carried out in the form of an exam:
• the maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points (positive assessment), which are added to the semester ones - 24 points;
• the following learning outcomes are assessed in the exam: РН 1.1, РН 1.2, РН 1.3; РН1.4; РН 1.5, РН 2.1, РН 2.2, РН 2.3, РН 2.4, РН 4.1.
• The exam is conducted in the form of a written paper, the exam paper consists of two tasks: a theoretical question (50%), a practical task (50%).
