Learning outcomes
PLO 8. Evaluate historical achievements and the latest achievements of literary studies. PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 11. Carry out scientific analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. PLO 13. Explain the essence of specific philological issues, one's own point of view on them and its justification in an accessible and reasoned manner to both specialists and the general public, in particular to students. PLO 17. Plan, organize, carry out and present research and/or innovative developments in a specific philological field.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know - the basics of literary analysis of works of art; - socio-historical conditions for the development of Ukrainian literature of the 21st century; - features of the development of modern poetry, prose, drama in the European context; - main trends in the development of world literature, their influence on the formation of the genre and style specificity of modern Ukrainian literature. - be able to: - analyze the ideological and artistic content of literary works in the context of the current requirements of modern literary studies; - consider the formation, development and functioning of the history of Ukrainian literature in a broad world context. - possess elementary skills - apply the acquired professional knowledge in the history of Ukrainian literature, literary studies, comparative studies in modern cultural, social, informational, educational and scientific-research spaces; - possess the latest methods of analyzing literary material.
Course content
The course consolidates and deepens basic knowledge of the history of Ukrainian literature, in particular the regularities of the development of the historical and literary process in its relationship with world literature and culture. Continues the systematic study of modern literary phenomena in a variety of styles and genres, innovative shifts in the cultural and stylistic era of the turn of the 20th-21st centuries, marked by search and experimentation; the features of the poetics of modern lyrics, drama, short stories, novels, the specifics of their genre-specific diffusions, plot creation, character formation, figurative and expressive means. As a research component of the educational program "Ukrainian Philology and Western European Language", the course provides methods and technologies of seminar classes that contribute to the formation and improvement of research skills of master's students.

Types of work: answers to seminar classes; creative task, presentation of the results of independent work in the form of reports, messages, presentations; final test.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system. During the semester, assessment is carried out in accordance with the types of work and forms of control described in clause 7.1. The final number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) taking into account the final assessment (exam) - (minimum 24, maximum 40 points). The exam is conducted in the form of a written paper, the exam paper consists of two tasks: a theoretical question on the history of Ukrainian literature (50%); a practical question (analysis of a work of art) (50%).
