Prerequisites and co-requisites
Preliminary requirements for mastering or choosing an academic discipline:
a) integration of the courses "Introduction to Literary Studies", "Theory of Literature", "History of Ukrainian Literature", "Hermeneutic Studies of the History of Ukrainian Literature";
b) the ability to read canonical and non-canonical texts as artistic phenomena, analyze them, see them in a specific historical era and the perspective of the evolution of writing;
c) possession of basic skills for adequate decoding of the canon of the history of Ukrainian literature.
Course content
The course "Ukrainian Literary Canon: Models of Interpretation" is an important discipline of the professional educational program "Ukrainian Philology and Western European Language", key for understanding and interpreting the canon of Ukrainian literature and its genre-style models, the specifics of historiography and encyclopedic studies, connected with various disciplines of philology, with logic, psychoanalysis, analytical psychology, history, psychology, phenomenology. "Ukrainian Literary Canon: Models of Interpretation" ensures the formation of competence in masters of adequate decoding of the canon, its genre-style models, idiostyle and literary trends, awareness of the process of decanonization of a literary text, literary trends, understanding the essence of encyclopedic studies and historiography, and practice in these disciplines.

Types of work: answers to seminar classes, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, blitz polls, preparation of a presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system.
During the semester, assessment is carried out in accordance with the types of work and forms of control described in clause 7.1.
The final number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam). Admission to the exam assumes the successful completion of tasks by the student and work throughout the semester.
Therefore, the final grade in the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the points for semester work (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) and the final assessment - exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
