PLO 1. Evaluate one's own educational and scientific and professional activities, build and implement an effective strategy for self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 3. Apply modern methods and technologies, in particular information, for the successful and effective implementation of professional activities and ensuring the quality of scientific research in a specific philological field. PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge from the field of Hindi philology to solve complex tasks and problems that require updating and integrating knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete/insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Successful mastering of the following courses “Fundamentals of the Theory of Translation”, “Fundamentals of the Practice of Translation”, “Stylistics of Hindi”, “Theoretical Grammar of Hindi”, "Lexicology of Hindi", “Hindi: Advanced level”.

The goal of the discipline is to consolidate, systematize and deepen knowledge of the theory and methodology of Hindi translation. Within the scope of the discipline, the problems of the theory and methodology of translating texts of increased complexity from Hindi into Ukrainan are highlighted; the specifics of the nomination and reference processes, as well as temporal, emotional-evaluative and stylistic characteristics of Hindi texts are determined; textological and sociocultural aspects of Arabic translation theory are considered. The discipline is a part of the research component of the educational program.

Learning activities comprise interactive lectures, seminar classes and self-study work of students, which involves preparation for oral answers during seminars, working with dictionary and referent data sources, preparation of presentation, completion of written translation.

Methods: oral answers, discussions, tests, essays, presentations, module and final tests, exam. Criteria: completeness of knowledge, argumentation, independence, use of literature and correctness of practical tasks are assessed. Distribution: semester — max. 60 points (minimum 36 for admission), exam — max. 40 points.
