Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To have deep knowledge of the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages for the written and oral communication purposes, professional and scientific communication in particular; to present research results in the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages. PLO 10. To collect and systematise linguistic, literary and folklore facts, to interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the specialisation elected). PLO 14. To create, analyse and edit texts of different styles and genres. PLO 21. To apply the knowledge and skills necessary to provide faithful bilateral Arabic - Ukrainian translation and interpretation in various sectors of economy and human life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of Arabic lexicology and economic terminology (from the courses "Lexicology of Arabic", "Translation of Arabic Economic and Commercial Texts"); Knowledge of translation methodology from the course "Theory and Methodology of Arabic Translation".
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the specifics of oral and written Arabic-Ukrainian two-way translation in the field of industry and agriculture; learning Arabic-Ukrainian equivalents in terminology, specific vocabulary and phraseology; acquiring skills in applying translation transformations typical for this type of texts.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Training takes place in the form of interactive lectures and practical classes, which involve the active work of students on oral and written translation in the classroom, self-study work. Completion of homework and translation exercises is mandatory. Control from the teacher's side is carried out by means of an oral survey and the organization of written tasks, lexical dictations, modular control works.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of mastering the material from the entire academic course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the processing of theoretical material in preparation for the classroom: oral answers, supplements, translation dictations, presentation defense) and for independent work (preparation of a presentation, written translations). In case of absence from a practical lesson, the student must complete the tasks that were performed in the lesson. All types of work for the semester have a total of: - in the maximum dimension - 60 points, - in the minimum dimension - 36 points. Final assessment: exam.
