Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the cycle of theoretical and practical professional training modules taught at Bachelor’s level and in the first year of the Master’s programme, including ‘Linguistic Textology, Communication Practices and Translation Studies’, ‘Contrastive Linguistics and Translation’, “Stylistics”, and ‘Text Linguistics’.
The ability to collect and interpret information on the given topics, identify relevant aspects of linguistic and communicative phenomena and classify the collected facts, apply the acquired conceptual and terminological framework in the analysis of speech material; plan and evaluate one’s own work; use multimedia resources. Possession of scientific research skills, a critical approach to the phenomena under analysis; interaction and cooperation in learning in research-oriented situations.
Course content
The aim of the course is to familiarise future philologists with the fundamental theoretical principles of modern communication in management and linguo-conflictology, and to develop their skills and abilities in organising communication in management, business communication and conflict resolution. Its subject matter comprises the theoretical foundations of communication in management and linguo-conflictology, as well as the practical aspects of resolving communication problems and conflict situations in management. The course aims to provide students with a basic understanding of the characteristics of communication in management and linguo-conflictology, and to equip them with practical skills for resolving problems related to the organisation of the communication process and conflict situations in the field of management.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment takes place throughout the semester in accordance with the types of work and forms of assessment described in section 7.1. A pass mark is awarded based on the student’s performance throughout the semester and does not require any additional assessment. Students who have achieved the minimum passing mark of 60 points receive a ‘pass’. Students who have not achieved the minimum passing mark of 60 points receive a ‘fail’. Students who have scored a total of less than 60 marks over the semester must, in order to pass the course, cover the material on the topics where they are behind by writing independent assignments, essays or, if necessary, a test.
