PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views. PLO 7. Understand the main philology problems an approach to solving them using appropriate methods and innovate approaches. PLO 10. Know Ukrainian literary language norms and be able to apply them in practical activities. PLO 25. Organize the process of teaching Ukrainian language for foreigners, considering the appropriate teaching methodology basics.

Distance form

1. Know the basics of psychology, pedagogy and methods of teaching Ukrainian language for foreigners; understand the general structure of the lesson and the requirements for its implementation. 2. Be able to determine the purpose and objectives of the lesson; master pedagogical and psychological techniques for effectively organizing a lesson and harmonizing relationships in a team.

The discipline gives an idea of the specifics of teaching the Ukrainian language in educational institutions of various types in Ukraine (schools with teaching in the state language, schools with the language of instruction of national minorities, international schools) and abroad (schools with teaching in Ukrainian, schools with teaching in the language of the country, Saturday or Sunday schools for studying the Ukrainian language). The basics of teaching the Ukrainian language in Ukraine, set out in official documents (the Education Law and training programs) are analyzed. The characteristics of the goals, principles, content, methods and techniques, forms of teaching the Ukrainian language in general education institutions are given. The types of lessons in the Ukrainian language and their structure are analyzed. The methodology of teaching Ukrainian as a native language, as a state language, as a second language, as an inherited language and as a foreign language is considered.

Forms of training: lectures, practical classes, independent work. Teaching methods: new material explanation, independent work with scientific and methodological literature, curriculum, textbooks, conversation, discussion, lesson plan independent development and their collective discussion and testing in a group.

Oral responses, participation in discussion, written tasks, article summary, written analysis of the lesson plan, lesson plan and its testing, group project, module tests. For evaluation criteria for each type of task, see the academic discipline curriculum.
