Learning outcomes
The study of the discipline involves the formation and development of the following competencies: the ability to conduct comprehensive analysis and monitoring of the world markets, to assess changes in the international environment and to be able to adapt to them, the ability to determine functional features, nature, level and degree of relationships between the subjects of international economic relations of different levels and to establish communication between them, the ability to determine the peculiarities of the formation of national and international business environment, to identify specific features and dynamics of world economic centers.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
A student must have general knowledge of the patterns of behavior of economic entities in market conditions, have a universal toolkit for making informed decisions about the choice in the presence of limited means and alternative opportunities of their use and to have knowledge of English or other foreign languages to better understand examples of modern empirical research in the field of competition in international markets.

Module 1. Theoretical foundations of competition research in international markets. Competitiveness of a product and a national economy (6 topics) Module 2. Competitiveness of firms in international markets (7 topics)

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of cases, mid-semester tests, reports during a seminar, problems. Semester assessment is carried out in the form of testing knowledge and skills: 1. During the answer at a seminar (participation in the discussion); 2. In the form of writing individual analytical works during independent study of topics; 3. In the form of essay writing; 4. In the form of discussion of trends in the development of various forms of international economic relations; 5. In the form of a presentation of a study of a specific form of international economic relations.
