Learning outcomes
To know: the formation of a holistic view of the latest imperatives of economic development in the context of exacerbation of global problems; analyze the contradictions and alternatives to globalization.
The student will be able to: operate with theoretical tools of modern globalism; to conduct expert, indicator and empirical assessments of international economic cooperation and substantiate options for solving problems based on research results; to form proposals for leveling existing risks and preventive management of potential threats; develop and analyze models of development of national economies and determine their role in the modern world economic system; apply cumulative knowledge, scientific and technological achievements, information technology to understand the essence of the phenomenon of the new economy, identify patterns and trends in the latest development of the world economy.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must have the theoretical apparatus of basic economic science, which underlies the entire system of economic knowledge and have a scientific economic worldview and a holistic view of the functioning of the economy as a whole; analyze theoretical models and current strategies of economic development, as well as identify relationships between them; know and be able to apply the methodology and tools of research of economic processes and phenomena and on this basis to build standard theoretical and econometric models, analyze and interpret the results.
Course content
Module test I. The modern era and global problems: contradictions and alternatives to globalization. Institutional levers of influence in the context of combating global problems. Socio-ecological imperatives of international economic development. The latest models of economic growth in terms of sustainable development. Asymmetries of international economic development from the standpoint of global inequality.
Module test II. Multidimensionality of the problem of resource provision. The environmental crisis and the problem of climate stabilization are at the heart of decarbonisation initiatives. Energy problem as a trigger of international economic development. Socio-economic manifestations of demographic challenges and the problem of poverty. Technological asymmetries of international economic development. The modern world and the problem of global governance.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment is carried out in the form of testing knowledge and skills:
1. During the answer at the seminar (participation in the discussion);
2. In the form of testing on the e-learning platform;
3. In the form of discussion of the results of scientific research on topics that contribute to the achievement of educational goals;
4. In the form of writing scientific essays in the direction specified in the list of test tasks in the case of: 1) lack of oral answer during the seminar; 2) absence at the seminar for justified reasons, which is confirmed by the relevant certificates; 3) in case of preparation for participation in international or Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences, which provide for the publication of abstracts (subject to student interest).
5. In the form of a presentation based on the results of the study, which should be uploaded to the e-learning platform in a predetermined time.
