Learning outcomes
Understand: basic concepts and categories of offshore financial activities; features and role of offshore zones in the system of foreign economic relations; key functions of offshore companies and reasons for the attractiveness of OFC; issues related to the further development of offshore financial business and its impact on the world economy. Know and understand: the types and functions of offshore companies, the services they offer, and how these services are regulated by international organizations; key differences between the three OFC models. Identify the evolution of offshore business. Be able to use the knowledge and methods gained during the course for further study, as well as for practical use in the analysis of offshore business; analyze preferential taxation and apply the optimal strategy for choosing an offshore zone. Have the skills to conduct group discussions on a selected topic related to offshore financial activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the basics in political economy, macroeconomics, microeconomics,international trade, statistics, world economy, international business and global finance.
2. Ability to understand the basic principles of business in the offshore zone, features and methods of regulating offshore activities.
3. To have basic skills in collecting and processing economic information, analysis of the business environment and financial and economic activities of the company, have critical thinking, be able to working with a significant amount of data, while providing own conclusions and suggestions.

Ьodule 2. Practical aspects of offshoring financial activities. Topic 7. The importance of taxation in offshore financial activities. Topic 8. Regulatory and supervisory process in offshoring. Topic 9. Suppliers and consumers of offshoring services. Topic 10. Offshoring in the system of foreign economic relations. Topic 11. International regulation of offshoring activities. Topic 12. Offshoring practice and its regulation. Topic 13. Digitization of offshore financial transactions. Topic 14. Watching a documentary. Topic 15. Discussion on the results of the course.
