Know: the essence of the concept of the value of money over time; the financial content of risk, the principles of the relationship between risk and return; preparation and methods of analysis of financial statements of multinational enterprises; structure of the financial system of multinational corporations; sources of funding for multinational enterprises; basic approaches to international financial management; the essence and existing approaches to the formation of a global corporate capital structure; basic approaches to dividend policy; the content of financial and operating leverage. Be able to: calculate present and future values; assess risks and returns; to analyze the financial statements of multinational corporations, to apply financial ratios; determine the effectiveness and feasibility of the use of certain cross-border transfer mechanisms; develop certain elements of international financial management strategies.

Full-time form

1) Command of general material on international finance and investment. 2) Command of basic knowledge on the functioning of multinational enterprises. 3) Computer and Internet skills, simple databases.

Introduction to the course. The concept of the value of money over time. Risk and return. Financial statements of multinational enterprises. The financial system of a multinational enterprise. Sources of funding for multinational enterprises. Mechanisms of cross-border intra-firm transfer of financial resources. International management of current assets and liabilities. Long-term financial management of international corporations. The essence and problems of forming a global corporate capital structure. Theories of capital structure. Cross-border financial leverage. Dividend policy of modern corporations.
