Learning outcomes
Know: The essence, structure and features of scientific methodology application. Global scientific revolutions and types of scientific rationality. The essence and functions of scientific theory. Cognition filters. The essence of classical science. The subject and method of classical political economy. Principles of classical PE in the theories of IT (international trade). Neoclassic. theories and models of IT. ILD, exchange rate and balance of payments. Neoclassical concepts of IT and monetary relations. Post-classical science and economic paradigm features. Modern tools and instruments of economic analysis. Be able to: Identify the features of the 4th global scientific revolution and post-classical type of scientific rationality. Apply new research programs and methods. Operate the basic principles of analytical philosophy. Investigate the structural elements of global economic discourse. Carry out a comparative analysis of discourses and basic concepts of economic methodology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Mastering of general material on international economic relations. 2) Availability of skills and general knowledge of general scientific methods of cognition. 3) Acquisition of basic skills in conducting their own research and presenting their results in the preparation of bachelor’s theses.
Course content
Theoretical foundations of scientific and practical methods of studying international economic relations. Science and research in the modern world. Methodology, techniques and methods of scientific research. Leading methodological concepts of the XX and early XXI century. World economic aspects in the methodology of classical economics. Methodological and organizational aspects of research in the field of international economic relations. Methodology of neoclassical economics in the analysis of the holistic system of the world economy. Methodology of post-neoclassical economic science in the conditions of geoeconomic transformations of the end of the XX century and the beginning of the XXI century. Relation between theoretical and practical research methods. Methods and models of international economic relations research by international economic and financial organizations.
