Learning outcomes
To demonstrate knowledge of basic theoretical problems concerning legal regulation of the integration process within the European Union; system of fundamental principles of European Union law; system of sources of European Union law; European Union institutional mechanism; system of human rights and fundamental economic freedoms protection, etc. To be able to practically apply the acquired knowledge concerning supremacy, direct effect and direct applicability of European Union legal acts; work with sources of European Union law, critically analyse doctrinal material concerning different aspects of European Union institutional and substantive law; predict directions of further European Union law development. To acquire basic communicative skills in the process of case-solving and discussing practical cases related to various aspects of European Union law.

Proficiency in English, general competence in institutional and substantive European Union law, public international law and modern legal systems.

Thematic plan of the discipline: 1. European Union law at the intersection of international and national legal orders 2. The essence and remedial attributes of the direct effect principle in European Union law 3. Human rights in the European Union law 4. Mutual loyalty and solidarity principles in European Union law 5. Legal regulation of the EU-Ukraine relations

Current control: answers (up to 20 points), written assignments, presentation of reports (up to 20 points), case study (up to 20 points). The form of final control is an exam. The exam is conducted in writing. The student's answer to the exam – up to 40 points.
