Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the basic provisions of the legal development at different stages in this sphere of EU economic activity; to discover the legal nature of the principles EU trade law, its sources and mechanism for their implementation; to explore formation and development of rules and norms as well as genesis and evolution of main EU Case law decisions; to define the internal and external EU trade principles, as well as to use them in solving legal problems.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites are knowledge of English and basic knowledge of EU law, as well as public and private international law.
Course content
Thematic plan of the discipline: 1. Definition and legal nature of EU Common Commercial Policy. 2. Legal instruments and subject of European CCP. 3. Principles of EU Common Commercial Policy. 4. EU’s competence in the sphere of the CCP. 5. EU’s Common Custom Tariff and EU import/export policy. 6. Trade protection measures (the antidumping and countervailing measures, the measures against illicit commercial practice, the common measures for import and export) and non-tariff regulation of EU. 7. International agreements which regulate the trade in goods and trade-related matters. 8. EU – Ukraine legal regulation of the trade relations.

Lecture, seminar, solving practical cases, performing tasks of independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Current control: answers (up to 35 points), additions (up to 7 points), case studies (up to 4 points), independent work (up to 8 points), final modular test (up to 8 points). The form of final control is a credit which is carried out in the form of written recitation.
