To understand social policy and the basic stages of development of EU labour and social law, EU legislation and case law on the prohibition of discrimination in employment, occupation and social protection spheres, basic labour individual rights of EU workers, regulation of working hours and rest periods in EU law, peculiarities of the concept and guarantees of remuneration for workers in EU law, ensuring the occupational safety and health in EU law, fundamental rights of EU workers in the event of dismissal, the right of EU employees to participate in the decision-making process, social security standards in the EU; to be able to analyse the main sources of labour and social EU law, analyse the case-law of the European Court of Justice in labour and social law sphere, assess the specific situation in the field of social and employment policy in terms of EU standards and existing legal instruments, etc.

Full-time form

Knowledge of the International public law, EU law; ability to analyse and compare EU legal documents and legislation of different countries, understanding of the mechanisms and features of EU law functioning; ability to apply knowledge and skills acquired in the study of disciplines of theoretical, professional and practical training, including "Public International Law", “EU law”, "Law of International Organizations", "Comparative Civil Law", "Comparative Labour and Social Law" etc.; knowledge of a foreign language and special terminology.

Lectures, seminars

Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Assessment of students' knowledge is carried out by current control, and the final result of the student's work during the semester is evaluated on a 100-point scale. Current control: answers and presentations (up to 40 points), written analytical individual and group tasks, case studies (up to 40 points), final modular test (up to 20 points). The credit is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester.

English
