Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Demonstrate knowledge and skill of creating conceptual schemes of solving international and national legal problems, examining legal concepts to ensure logical consistency and practical adequacy, producing new ideas for solving practical issues in the field of professional legal activity of settling international disputes. PLO 2. Analyze and apply relevant international legal norms on settling international disputes, identify trends and patterns in this professional sphere. PLO 7. Apply the knowledge and skills in the field of international relations and law acquired when solving practical problems.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the basics of International Public Law (Fundamental Theory), International Public Law (Main Branches and Institutes), Law of International Treaties. 2. Ability to analyze and establish the content of rights and obligations of international legal subjects in accordance with the provisions of various international treaties, to apply the rules and principles of international law, as well as decisions of relevant international courts for solving specific problems, and, in particular, to formulate suggestions for the improvement of the legislation of Ukraine. 3. Basic skills of legal analysis and synthesis, critical thinking, review of considerable amounts of legal material with personal conclusions and proposals; proficiency in English..

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Forms of evaluation of the work of the students. Semester evaluation: Seminars. Maximum number of points for one seminar – 4 points. Maximum total number of points for the seminars – 40 points. Maximum number of points for the module test – 20 points. Final evaluation: In the form of an exam. Maximum total number of points for the exam is 40 points. Conditions for the admission to the exam: to score in the course of the semester not less than 24 points. Organization of the evaluation: seminars, module tests, exam.
