Learning outcomes
Master the skills of conducting discussions with a wide scientific community and the public on selected topical theoretical and practical issues in the field of specialty.
Master the skills of using proper lexical, grammatical and stylistic devices in the documents in the field of specialty.
Master the skills to note and refer the texts in the field of specialty using different types of secondary texts according to source text: synopsis, abstracts, reviews, summaries.
Master the skills to give comments in spoken or written forms the statements using proper lexico-phraseological and grammatical means.
Master the skills to give reports with individual presentations; to react to the position/point of view of the interlocutor, to oppose the point of view.

Control is performed according to modular-rating system. Semester consists of two modular works.
Modular works 2 x 10 = 20
Class control: tasks for writing - 10, class work – 10, vocabulary – 10, translation – 10, final evaluation (complex final module):individual reading (150 pages per semester for III year students and 200 pages per semester for IV year students) – 20, lexico-grammatical test (credit/exam) – 20.
