Learning outcomes
To understand the subject of comparative jurisprudence and its methodology; the content of the categories "the legal system”, “the
system of law”, "the legal family", "legal map of the world"; that the legal system of each country is the result of historical development, it is inimitable and unique phenomenon; characteristic features of legal families; the importance of the influence of legal consciousness, legal culture, religion, legal understanding on the formation of legal systems; location of legal families on the legal map of the world; mechanism of interaction of different legal systems

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The Course "The Legal Map of the World" is based on and closely interacts with a series of disciplines of theoretical, professional and practical training, including "Theory of State and Law", "History of State and Law", "History of Political and Legal Doctrines", "Country studies” etc.
The student should have general knowledge of the theory of law, history of law, basics of legal understanding, the concept of law, sources of law, law enforcement and features of legal awareness. In addition, the student must have a general knowledge of the basics of international law and its interaction with national law.

3. Classification of modern legal systems and its criteria
4. Romano-germanic legal family
5. Anglo-saxon legal family
6. Religious and traditional legal families. The family of Islamic law
7. Hindu law. Jewish law. Canon law
8. Customary legal family. Far Eastern legal family
9. The place of the legal system of Ukraine among the legal systems of the modern world.
10. International legal systems. Interaction of legal systems

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Current control: answers (up to 5 points), writing independent work (up to 2 points), modular test (up to 20 points). The form of final control is an exam. The exam is conducted in writing. The student's answer to the exam – up to 40 points
