To know about: fundamentals of international economic policy for improving trade aspects in modern international economic relations; forms and types of international economic competition within trade flows of goods and services; criteria and effectiveness of international economic policy mechanisms developed within the WTO as an institution of international economic policy; economic benefits and costs for a WTO member country; effects of the impact on the liberalization of trade flows and on the international economic relations in general, the procedure for conducting periodic reviews of trade policy; understand the political and economic goals in the context of the development of modern international economic relations facing the WTO under geoeconomic transformations; the main indicators of the WTO's activities through the prism of preferential regional and mega-regional agreements and the activities of the institution in the context of the global escalation of trade wars.

Distance form

The academic discipline "Mechanism of WTO Functioning" is based on and closely interacts with the cycle of disciplines of theoretical, professional and practical training, in particular: "World Economy", "IEA Theory", "Economics of European Integration", "Regulation of International Economic Relations". A student must have general knowledge: knowledge of the basics of microeconomics, macroeconomics and international economic relations, be able to assess, analyze and summarize the main indicators of the functioning of regional trade agreements.
