Learning outcomes
To know and master theoretical knowledge of calculation methods and mechanisms of credit rating formation, features of price schedules; line charts; price scales; histograms; tic-tac-toe; Japanese candles, their types, features of charts; concepts of trends, features of the international financial market, factors influencing the foreign exchange market and the use of technical analysis methods. To be able to retrospectively analyze the international foreign exchange market, perform fundamental analysis of stock prices and exchange rates and make forecasts, make forecasts using technical analysis methods, to apply in practice financial calculations in market research and operations of the international financial market. To gain basic communication skills in terms of interpretation of indicators obtained as a result of market research, in the process of finding information as a result of voluntary mutual exchange between stakeholders.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
A student must have general knowledge of: the peculiarities of the current situation in international foreign exchange markets; factors influencing the situation in foreign exchange markets; fundamental sources of market information; the impact of psychological effects on the foreign exchange market; national features of the formation of financial markets and their impact on regional and international financial markets; the place, specifics and role of world financial centers in shaping the state of the international financial market; features of the pricing mechanism in the international foreign exchange market, factors influencing the price formation of financial instruments; methods and principles of fundamental analysis, and sources of macroeconomic information.
Course content
The essence of technical analysis. Volume of supply and demand, price levels, patterns of forecasting market conditions, estimating the probability and construction of the confidence interval, methodology of technical analysis, study of the dynamics of internal technical characteristics of the market. Basic principles of technical analysis Repetition of similar or identical events, research of historical statistical data, array of information accumulated in the past, use of technical analysis in combination with fundamental analysis. Time lag, efficient market hypothesis, three forms of market efficiency, information asymmetry theory. Unfavorable selection, moral hazard, condition assessment, lemon problem, increase in transaction costs, compliance costs, the problem of principal agent, the theory of random wandering, trend game. Dow's theory.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment is carried out in the form of testing knowledge, skills: During the answer to the seminar (participation in the discussion); In the form of writing individual analytical works during independent study of topics; In the form of essay writing; In the form of a discussion of the current economic situation; In the form of a presentation of the forecast of price fluctuations in a certain market obtained as a result of a market study; In the form of a presentation of the conducted market research. The final assessment (a test) is carried out in the form of defense of a market research.
