The educational discipline "Hardware and software of computer systems" is based on the cycle of secondary school disciplines (informatics, physics, mathematics).

Connecting devices to the network. Search and detection of faults in networks and their elimination. 8. Laptops and other mobile devices. Characteristics of laptops and other mobile devices. Preventive maintenance. Troubleshooting procedures. 9. Printers and scanners. Purpose and characteristics of printers and scanners of various types. Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. 10. Virtualization and cloud computing. 11. Installing Windows. Modern operating systems. System requirements of operating systems. 12. Windows settings. Windows network system. General methods of preventive maintenance of operating systems. Microsoft Windows operating system troubleshooting procedures. 13. Operating systems of mobile devices. Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, laboratory work, individual independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
- semester assessment: control is carried out as follows. The semester has two semantic modules: the content module 1 (MR1) includes topics 1-9, the content module 2 (MR2) includes topics 10-15. - final assessment (in the form of credit): credit form - written and oral. The test consists of 2 questions, each question is evaluated from 0 to 20 points. In total, you can get from 0 to 40 points for the test. The condition for achieving a positive grade for the discipline is to obtain at least 60 points, with a score of 2 [skills] and 4 [autonomy and responsibility] can not be less than 50% of the maximum level (15 and 5 points, respectively), grade for the test can not be less than 24 points. - conditions of admission to the test: the condition of admission to the test is the student's receipt of a total of not less than the critical-calculated minimum of 36 points per semester, and the delivery of all laboratory work.
