Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful completion of the courses: Vietnamese for Professional Communication, Theory and Methodology of Translation; 2) Possess basic translation and textual analysis skills; 3) Know Vietnamese at a sufficient level; 4) Be able to translate Vietnamese texts of various genres.
Course content
To provide students with knowledge of translating scientific and technical texts from Vietnamese into Ukrainian and vice versa, including the peculiarities involved. The objective is to enhance the language and translation proficiency of students in scientific and technical fields, according to their specialty, and to guarantee that future experts achieve a sufficient level of translation capability to carry out professional translation work both verbally and in writing.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of learning organization: lectures and seminars conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom work, answers to seminar classes, essays, presentations, and open-ended module tests. Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, including theoretical training, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade. The semester grade is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work. The evaluation criteria are presented in the discipline's work program, published on the official website of the Educational and Research Institute of Philology.
