Possess communication skills in modeling written texts The bachelor's thesis is a comprehensive form of control and final certification of bachelor's graduates in the educational and professional program "Ukrainian and English: Translation and Editing". The purpose of writing and defending a bachelor's thesis is to establish the actual compliance of the graduate's level of educational and qualification training with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty.

The bachelor's thesis is an independent practical and scientific research in the field of translation and editing. The work is aimed at testing the professional knowledge, skills of critical analysis of scientific sources, ability and readiness of future specialists to theoretically substantiate, develop and implement learning outcomes. The preparation of a bachelor's thesis covers the stages of choosing and approving a topic, consulting with a supervisor, collecting material, studying practical sources and scientific literature, drawing up a plan, writing a paper, proper formatting of the paper, and defense.

The qualification work is submitted to the certification commission in writing in the approved form along with other supporting documents: the supervisor's feedback and review. The public defense of the qualification work takes place in the form of a presentation using various forms of visualization of the report.

The grade for writing a bachelor's thesis consists of three components: 1) the assessment of the supervisor, who fills out the supervisor's feedback form (Appendix 1) in accordance with the evaluation criteria (up to 10 points max.); 2) evaluation of the reviewer, who fills out the review form (Appendix 1) in accordance with the evaluation criteria (up to 45 points maximum); 3) the grade for the defense of the qualification work (up to 45 points maximum), which is given by the certification commission and entered in the final evaluation sheet (Appendix 1), which also contains the total grade as an arithmetic whole of the three components (up to 100 points maximum).
