Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian and English in oral and written forms, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian and English. PLO 21. Ability to edit and correct texts of various styles and genres in Ukrainian and English. PLO 24. Make, edit and translate written and oral texts of political or business discourse (Ukrainian and English).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know the basic principles of successful communication and practical rhetoric, possess basic factual knowledge of a humanitarian nature. Be able to use vocabulary flexibly, possess the general norms of Ukrainian oral literary speech, have a sufficient level of linguistic competence and language culture. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude to the analyzed phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources; analysis of rhetorical political texts; production of complex oral and written messages; interaction and cooperation in education in political situations.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is the formation of students' rhetorical knowledge and skills in the business sphere. The task of the course consists in in-depth study by students of the theoretical foundations and practical skills of mastery of the word, in particular in the format of oral public speaking in the business sphere. The discipline is considered in connection with related linguistic and non-linguistic sciences: lexicology and phraseology, phonetics, syntax, stylistics, general linguistics, literary studies, psycholinguistics, eristics, etc. The issues of rhetoric as a science and the art of speech are highlighted, the peculiarities of the relationship between language and thinking, logic and thinking are considered. Special attention is paid to mastering various methods of working with a business audience, the technique and expressiveness of speech, the strategy and tactics of successful oral public speaking in the business sphere.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Verbal, visual and practical teaching methods: lecture, practical class, independent work Activities: Response to the practical, addition, participation in the discussion, analysis of the rhetorical text, creative task (own speech), final control task.
Assessment methods and criteria
The form of final control is credit. According to the types of works, a student can score the following number of points: oral answer - from 3 to 6 addition - from 1 to 2 participation in the discussion - from 2 to 3 creative task (own speech) - from 13:00 to 22:00 tasks of the final control (test) - from 12 to 20 The credit score is formed as the sum of all points scored during the semester: 0-59 – not counted, 60-100 credits.
