Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To work effectively with data: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it.
PLO 7. To understand the main problems of Persian philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches.
PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Persian language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before writing the qualification paper, students must know the grammatical structure and vocabulary of the Persian language to the extent provided by the current educational program, periodization and the main representatives of Iranian literature, the specifics of the theory and practice of translation from the Persian language; to be able to work with educational and scientific information in the field of Iranian studies, to process it, to make generalizations and conclusions regarding the peculiarities of linguistic, literary and translation studies; to have basic skills of actualization, systematization, deepening of scientific and research search; comparative analysis, description and assessment for formulating generalizations and substantiating conclusions.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to write and defend a bachelor’s qualifying (research) thesis – to develop research skills and establish the actual compliance of the graduate’s level of educational and qualification training with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of specialty 035 "Philology" (035.067 "Oriental languages and literatures (translation inclusive), the first is Persian") under the OP "Persian language and literature and translation, English language".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Choosing a topic for a bachelor's qualification thesis and writing a detailed plan of work on it. Definition of subject, object, development of hypothesis and strategy of research. Determination of the stages and terms of the work. Selection and processing of scientific sources of Ukrainian and world scientific discourse on the subject of the bachelor's qualification work. Preparation of the approval of scientific intelligence on the topic of the qualification work at the Institute scientific conference with the participation of young scientists. Presentation of the scientific article (theses), discussion at the section and with the scientific supervisor. Assessment, consideration of shortcomings, comments, recommendations. Writing an introduction to a bachelor's thesis. Writing sections of the bachelor's qualification work, eliminating the supervisor's comments. Compilation of the list of used sources in accordance with the requirements.
Assessment methods and criteria
The assessment for writing a bachelor's qualifying research paper consists of three components: 1) assessment by the supervisor, who fills out the feedback form of the supervisor in accordance with the evaluation criteria (up to 10 points max.); 2) evaluations of the reviewer who fills out the review form in accordance with the evaluation criteria (up to 45 points max.); 3) evaluations for the defense of the qualification work (up to 45 points max.), which is issued by the attestation commission and entered in the final evaluation sheet, which also contains the total score as an arithmetic integer of three components (up to 100 points max.).
