Learning outcomes
PTR 1. To freely communicate in Ukrainian and Russian languages in the professional sphere with specialists and non-specialists orally and in writing, to use those languages for effective intercultural communication organisation. PTR 10. To know the norms of the Ukrainian literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities PTR 14. To use Ukrainian in verbal and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (official, informal, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PTR 25. To organize the process of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language, taking into account the basics of the relevant teaching methodology.

Successful mastery by foreign students of language, speech and communication material that meets the requirements of the basic level of proficiency in Ukrainian as a foreign language.
Course content
"Practical Grammar of the Ukrainian Language" is a core course for international students. Its subject is the lexical and grammatical system of the modern Ukrainian literary language, which includes lexical units, paradigmatic relations between them (synonyms, antonyms, etc.), and syntagmatic relations of linguistic units in speech. The discipline directs students to linguistic adaptation: correction of skills in grammatical structures presented by the program material of the initial stage, systematization of previously learned lexical and grammatical material; understanding of ways of expressing certain conceptual categories, practical mastery of the rules of Ukrainian grammar (rules of formation and functioning of grammatical units), replenishment of vocabulary that will contribute to the formation of communicatively and normatively correct productive speech activity.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning activities: practical classes, independent work. Teaching methods: consciously practical and practical methods (training exercises, case studies, situation modeling, methods of educational games). Teaching methods and technologies are aimed at strengthening the skills of normative speaking, listening, reading and writing. The use of speech strategies and tactics used in situations of social, domestic and educational and professional spheres of communication. Reliance on grammatical schemes and situational speech clichés. Conversation, work in pairs.
