Learning outcomes
PLO 3 Know and understand the principles, forms, modern methods, methodological techniques of teaching the subject in secondary education institutions (basic secondary education level).
PLO 8 Select and apply modern educational technologies and methods for the formation of subject competencies of students and self-analyze the effectiveness of lessons.
PLO 9 Master the forms and methods of educating students in the classroom and in extracurricular activities, be able to track the dynamics of personal development of the child.
PLO 15 Apply the methods of bilingual and integrated teaching of language and professional content, know the didactics of multilingualism and methods of parallel teaching of related languages, methods of working in a heterogeneous (mixed) learning environment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know:
- the rules of phonetic design (stress, pause, intonation) of statements of different types (dialogue, monologue) in accordance with the situation of intercultural communication;
- the specifics of the morphological organization of modern English;
- functional and stylistic norms of use of lexical items of the synonymous range, idioms, expressions in accordance with the situation of intercultural communication;
- features of the English language as an integral system.
2. Be able to:
- produce prepared or unprepared monologues that summarize and/or supplement the content of what they have heard or seen, following the laws of genre and style;
- reproduce the content of what they have read; and express their own opinion about what they have read or heard, giving arguments for it;
- use socio-cultural knowledge and skills in foreign language communication.
Course content
The discipline (communicative level B2) is designed to develop students' communicative, linguistic and socio-cultural competencies; to develop students' cognitive competence in relation to other types of competencies; positive attitude to mastering both the language and culture of the English-speaking world; awareness of the functions of a foreign language in the educational process and in society; to provide knowledge about the culture, history, realities and traditions of the country whose language is studied, to develop the ability to use, if necessary, various strategies of teaching and learning. The course consists of four modules.

Practical classes; independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in practical classes and writing the ICR. A student can score a maximum of 60 points for work during the semester.
Assessment of semester work:
1. Answers in practical classes, conversation: 26 - 42 points.
2. Module tests: 10 - 18 points.
