Learning outcomes
introducing students to the comprehensive study of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the English language in accordance with the profile of the Institute for communication in English in oral and written form. The communicative orientation of English language learning is realized by forming students' speech skills in the main types of speech activity - listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as initial skills and skills in translation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
- knowledge of the basic principles of a foreign language;
- the ability to read and ask logical questions based on the content of the read text, to retell an original text of medium complexity, containing 8-10% unfamiliar words;
- the ability to conduct a conversation on everyday, socio-cultural and socio-political topics. Understand the oral speech of the interlocutor, lecturer or announcer in the phonorecord within the scope of the subject covered.
Make reports and messages based on the read fiction and non-fiction texts, as well as the texts presented by the announcer.

In laboratory classes, students perform practice-oriented tasks, which are assessed with a maximum of 10 points (threshold level of a positive assessment - 2 points).
The content module includes all topics. Mandatory for the test end exam is the performance of individual work provided for in the work program of the discipline.
