Learning outcomes
To know the system of information security in the context of globalization of the world community; the essence of concepts and models of international cooperation in the field of information security; specifics, mechanisms, trends and prospects of international information security policy; features of world and European standards in the field of information security, features of national information security of the main subjects of international information relations; the content of Ukraine's national information security policy in the system of international relations. Be able to carry out a comparative analysis of national information security strategies of the countries of the world; to characterize modern processes of building a global information security system; provide a classification of information threats to international security, domestic and interstate destabilizing factors; identify information challenges for the national security of Ukraine.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the basic concepts of the information society theories, risks and threats of the modern information society, current trends in world information development, understand the essence of the concepts of information and psychological influences and information wars. 2. To be able to work with information sources, analyze communication processes and write information materials.
Course content
Module 1. Current trends and features of the information security system Topic 1. Basic concepts of information security and the concept of international information security. Topic 2. Means of information security: legal, political, organizational, psychological, technical. Topic 3. Classification of threats and sources of threats to the international information security system. Module 2. Consequences of the transformation of the world community into a new information formation: problems and ways to solve them. Topic 4. The impact of the international institutions on information security on the world order. Topic 5. Information security of the state as a component of the international information security system. Strategies of specific states. Topic 6. Information challenges for the national security of Ukraine. Topic 7. Priorities for improving the information security system of Ukraine.

Lectures, seminars, case study, individual work.
Assessment methods and criteria
- semester assessment: 1. modular test (20 points / 10 points). 2. reports on the plan for seminars (50 points / 35 points). 3. case project (10 points / 5 points). - final evaluation: 1. form of assessment - credit; 2. the maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student - 20 points; 3. the credit is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester.
