Learning outcomes
LO 6. To develop long-term and current plans, programs of activities, to make effective decisions in difficult situations promptly. LO 11. To use prevent methods for deviations in mental development, behavioral disorders, interpersonal relationships breakdown, for conflict resolution, for prevention of social risks and difficult life circumstances. LO 19. To identify strengths and to involve the client’s personal resources, resources of social groups and communities to solve their problems and get out of difficult life circumstances.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know: - definition of social perception and its mechanisms - personal aspects of interaction with others and their perception - the nature and manifestations of manipulative techniques and resistance to them - the concept of psychological influence be able: - to use self-regulation of emotional state; - behave adequately in difficult situations of interaction with partners. - to establish the interpersonal perception - apply techniques of information transfer and questioning, argumentation and persuasion - to determine the individual strategy of effective behavior in difficult life situations
Course content
Communication is the exchange of information and activities and the perception, understanding, and appreciation of each other. Therefore, in communication, a person forms an idea of he partner, his abilities, character, worldview, values. The meaning of the concept of "social perception" includes the perception of not only the physical properties of man but also his internal characteristics, including intentions, thoughts, abilities, emotions, attitudes and more. As communication is a process of interaction of two and more objects, it is a question of mutual understanding and mutual knowledge. The training aims to form personal experience and practical skills of interpersonal communication in various situations of professional activity.

Assessment methods and criteria
The organization of assessment forms provided by the working curriculum is carried out during the semester during students' creative and reproductive tasks, individual work, a compilation of modular tasks, and a final task. Based on the work results during the semester, the student receives a final grade on a 100-point system, which is calculated as the accumulated grades for the modules during the semester. Creative and reproductive tasks for individual work - up to 20 points for each; modular control work - up to 20 points. A student could not take the final test if he scored less than 36 points during the semester. Form of final control - credit. Credit points: 0-59 - not credited, 60-100 - "credited". Points 1 - 59 corresponds to the assessment of "unsatisfactory"; 60 -74 - "satisfactory"; 75 - 90 - "good"; 91 - 100 - "excellent".
