LO1. To solve complex problems and issues that require updating and integration of knowledge in the context of incomplete / insufficient information and conflicting requirements. LO2. To evaluate critically the results of scientific research and various sources of knowledge about social work practices, formulate conclusions and recommendations for their implementation. LO5. To collect and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of empirical data. LO6. To find independently and autonomously the information necessary for professional growth, master it, acquire and produce new knowledge, develop professional skills and qualities. LO7. To use general and specialized software to solve professional problems and carry out scientific research. LO14. To determine the methodology of applied research and apply methods of quantitative and qualitative analysis of results, including methods of mathematical statistics.

Full-time form

The student should know: the problem of social and pedagogical research. The student must be able: to conduct an empirical part of social and pedagogical research. The student must have a scientific apparatus of social and pedagogical research.

The purpose of the discipline - students should master the knowledge of the essence, varieties and criteria for the effectiveness of scientific work, as well as the principles, methods and technologies of social and pedagogical research. Scientific and research practice is carried out before the implementation of qualification work and is the final part of practical training of students-applicants of the second (master's) level, branch of knowledge 23 "Social work" specialty 231 "Social work," educational program "Social pedagogy."

Constituent conference, advising the head of practice from the department on the stages of practice and the execution of relevant documentation. Maintaining contacts with managers from the practice base. Presentation and protection of the research proposal. Reporting on the state of development and implementation of an individual plan. Collection of empirical data. Preparation of a written report on practice. Public protection of practice results at the final conference.

Assessment of the head of the practice base (filling out the questionnaire on the student's internship) - 20 points. Assessment of the head from the department: compliance with the practice procedure and preparation for the report (preparation and protection of the Research proposal, timely access to the practice base, reporting on the collection of empirical material at the intermediate meeting) ‒ 40 points. Assessment of the head of the department: the quality of registration of the Individual report of the student on the practice ‒ 20 points. Protection of practice results at the final conference: the use of presentation and distribution materials for the report (media presentation, tables, figures, diagrams that reflect the results of the study and which are referenced during the report) ‒ 10 points. Protection of practice results at the final conference: compliance, clarity and completeness of answers to questions ‒ 10 points.
