Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of geoecology", "Biogeography
fiya", "Economic and social geography of the world".
2. To know the essence of global and regional geoecological problems of today
of the world; to understand the main worldview concepts of world development; effects
of these threats to Ukraine and systemic approaches to their mitigation taking into account
roles of the main population groups.
3. To be able to realize the values of civil (free democratic
society and the need for its sustainable development, to reveal the nature of
tropogenic pressure in the system "man - society - nature", under conditions of insufficient
information, find the necessary information on the Internet and analyze
analyze the received information with regard to international environmental cooperation.
Course content
The academic discipline is devoted to the study of global problems,
deepening theoretical knowledge about the state of the world at the beginning of the third millennium,
formation of geo-ecological thinking and competencies in future specialists.
Separate components of the discipline are coverage of the climate change process and
related problematic issues of biodiversity loss. Lecture materials developed
dig into the essence of global environmental problems and their mitigation in the process of achieving
implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Emphasis is placed on the problems of climate change,
loss of biodiversity, pollution of the world oceans and inland seas and defi-
of water resources.
The functional block of the discipline involves mastering the ability to establish
liaise with experts of non-governmental and governmental organizations and institutions in the
gaps in cross-border environmental cooperation; defend with reason
to identify and explain principles in solving professional tasks
and methods of organizing a person's economic activity, in particular in its context
impact on the environment and nature conservation areas and ways to achieve the Goals
of Sustainable Development in Ukraine until 2030 (CSR-30).
