Learning outcomes
Know the basic concepts, directions, principles of environmental ethics and environmental education; features of application of principles of ecological ethics and ecological education (education for sustainable development) in international agreements, recommendation documents, international judicial practice; features of national legislation of Ukraine and foreign countries in the field of environmental ethics and environmental education. Be able to identify the main trends and patterns of development of international environmental law in the context of environmental ethics and education for sustainable development; to prepare certificates and recommendations on issues of international environmental law for the state authorities of Ukraine; use the acquired knowledge in professional legal activities; work with professional analytical literature on international legal regulation of environmental protection in the context of environmental ethics and education
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1.Knowledge of the theoretical basics of public international law and international environmental law. 2.Ability to analyze and establish the content of rights and obligations of subjects of international law in accordance with the provisions of international treaties, to apply the decisions of international courts to solve specific problems, in particular to improve the current legislation of Ukraine. 3.Acquisition and possession of basic skills of legal analysis and synthesis, critical thinking, elaboration of a significant array of legal material with the provision of their own conclusions and suggestions.
Course content
Thematic plan of the discipline: 1.Introduction to environmental ethics: basic concepts, directions (trends) and principles of environmental ethics. 2.International legal protection of the environment in armed conflicts and principles of environmental ethics. 3. Concepts and concepts of environmental education. Environmental education in international treaties and activities of international organizations. 4.National legislation of Ukraine and foreign countries in the field of environmental education.

Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Current control: answers (up to 60 points), final modular test (up to 20 points). The form of final control is a final test. The final test is conducted in writing. The student's answer to the final test – up to 20 points.
