Course content
Educational discipline "Physical
geography of continents and oceans" is devoted to consideration of natural conditions and
studying the patterns of development of individual parts of the geographical envelope -
continents and oceans. The characteristics of the subjects are revealed sequentially
territories, starting from the peculiarities of their geographical position and coastal
zones and ending with physical and geographical zoning with selection and description
natural complexes of subglobal and regional levels of dimensions
(natural zones, zones, subzones, countries and regions).
The discipline is divided into three content parts (modules), which reveal
peculiarities of natural conditions of oceans and continental formations. Geographical differentiation is among the issues to be thoroughly covered
shells at the sub-global and regional levels, analysis of natural
components of a specific continent / ocean (including its parts), their
interdependence and interconnection, interaction between continents and oceans as
a factor in the formation of unique features of the Earth's nature.
The educational process is built from a system of lectures and practical classes
works The lecture format of classes reveals and explains important theoretical information
in relation to the natural features of the continents and oceans, reveals and establishes
patterns of their development over time. In practical classes it is assumed
consolidation of educational material, taking into account and using weekends
theoretical provisions when performing tasks with a contour map and
thematic maps of the atlas.
The discipline is aimed at the formation of special students
geographical competences, in particular content (empirical and theoretical knowledge),
operational
