Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know and be able to use knowledge about the specifics of modern areas and methods of psychotherapy in research, teaching and practical work at the level of a student who completed the 1st year of master's degree at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
2. Have basic skills of psychotherapeutic work.
Course content
The discipline "Fundamentals of client-centered psychotherapy" is aimed at forming an understanding of the theoretical foundations of client-centered psychotherapy and mastering the basic practical skills and abilities of a humanistic-oriented psychotherapist. The main attention is paid to providing the central conditions of client-centered psychotherapy.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of participation in the seminar: 20/12.
Assessment of participation in the practical lesson: 20/12.
Creative independent work: 20/12.
Final test: 40/24.
Organization of assessment: carried out during all types of training sessions and based on the results of independent work; after topic 5 the final control work is carried out.
Final assessment: credit.
Recommended minimum for admission to the test: 40 points.
The test is based on the results of the student's work during the semester:
- At the maximum number of points (100) does not provide additional measures for evaluation.
- For a total of less than 60, but more than the critical-calculated minimum of 40 points - a test in the form of an oral question on the subject of the course and a creative individual task, which is estimated at 20 points.
- For less than 40 points - are not allowed to take the test.
Rating scale: 0-59 - not credited; 60-100 - credit
