Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of courses: Practical course of Chinese language, Chinese literature, Linguistic and Country studies, Fundamentals of Chinese language picture of the world, Fundamentals of Chinese linguoculturology, etc. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies) and cultural studies. 3. Possession of skills in translating Chinese-language texts, as well as methodological tools for linguistic and cultural analysis of original texts.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the cultural background of Chinese-language (mainly artistic) texts – representatives of the main genres of classical and modern Chinese literature; education of students' practical ability to perform text analysis in order to isolate and comprehend cultural information. The main task related to the development of a linguocultural approach to the analysis of Chinese-language texts is the study of factual material with the involvement of linguistic and extralinguistic information.The discipline belongs to the selective block "Chinese Studies: Linguoculturology and Translation".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of organization of training: practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: answers in a practical lesson, modular tests. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system,which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work;As a result: in the maximum dimension of 60 points, in the minimum dimension 36 points.Final assessment: an exam conducted in the form of a written work, an examination ticket consists of two tasks:1 theor. question (15%) with an open answer, which is estimated at a maximum of 15 points;1 pract. task (linguo-cultural analysis of a passage of the original Chinese-language text of 25%), which is estimated at a maximum of 25 points.The criteria for semester assessment and evaluation criteria for the exam are presented in the working program of the discipline published on the official website.
