Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. language competence, including knowledge of the system and structure of the language and the rules of its functioning in the process of communication in Chinese, the ability to use means and use the rules by which language units form statements; 2. know the grammar of Chinese and Ukrainian languages; theoretical principles of translation studies, linguoculture studies; 3. have the necessary lexical stock; 4. the ability to carry out an adequate and equivalent translation and interpretation of phraseological units; 5. the ability to determine the necessary and sufficient ways of translation and adequately translate phraseological units.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to develop and improve students' language and translation competence in accordance with their specialty, provides for the achievement by future specialists of such a level of translation competence, which will provide them with the opportunity to professionally carry out translation activities in various types of translation in oral and written forms on the basis of acquired knowledge in the field of Chinese phraseology. The program of the course "Ethnocultural Specificity of Chinese Phraseology" is aimed at acquiring students' skills in translating phraseological units written and oral from and into Chinese at the average language level, the discipline is one of the components of comprehensive training in the specialty "Philology (Oriental languages and literatures (translation inclusive))" under the program "Chinese language and literature and translation, English", selective block "Chinese Studies: Linguistics and Translation".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of training organization: lecture and seminar classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: the answer to practical lessons, a report-analysis of scientific literature and lexicographic sources, modular control work, test tasks for translation and search for matches, final control work. Detailed planned educational events and teaching methods are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. Semester number of points are formed by points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; As a result: in the maximum dimension of 100 points, in the minimum dimension of 60 points. The discipline ends with a credit, which is exhibited based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures. Evaluation criteria are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
