Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know and be able to use the basic concepts in the field of general and social psychology, personality psychology and basic skills of psychological counseling at the level of a student who completed the educational qualification level "Bachelor" of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University. 2. Have basic skills in finding, processing and analyzing information.
Course content
The discipline "Purposeful interviewing and counseling" is aimed at forming a systematic knowledge of purposeful interviewing and counseling, creating a holistic view of the process of individual psychological counseling, its content, principles and technology; expanding knowledge and skills of psychological assistance to the individual. Current trends in the provision of practical psychological care are analyzed, psychological knowledge of psychotherapeutic technologies and basic psychotherapeutic skills are integrated. Ways to solve advisory tasks are summarized. The practical part of the course is aimed at actively mastering the technology of advisory interviews and the formation of a professional position of the consultant

Lectures, seminars, practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Speech answers (speech at the seminar, participation in discussions and debates, additions, practical exercises): 40/30. Abstract report: 20/10. Independent work report: 20/10. Final test: 20/10. Organization of assessment: carried out during all types of training sessions and based on the results of independent work; the final lesson is conducted in the form of analysis of standard consulting appeals and experimental studies (report, supervision). Final assessment: credit. Recommended minimum for admission to the test: 40 points. The test is based on the results of the student's work during the semester: - At the maximum number of points (100) does not provide additional measures for evaluation. - For a total of less than 60, but more than the critical-calculated minimum of 40 points - a test is made in the form of an oral question on the subject of the course and a creative individual task is performed, which is estimated at 40 points.
