PR01. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the study of natural-territorial systems at different levels of spatial organization.
PR05. Be able to identify, pose and solve scientific and applied problems, carry out a critical assessment of the decisions made.
PR10. Apply geo-information technologies, create and research models of natural-geographic manifestations of the development of geosystems, determine the possibilities and limits of their application.
PR15. Independently assess the key trends in the development of natural and geographical processes for the formation of new areas of scientific research.

            Course content

The content of the discipline covers a range of issues related to the study of the rhythms of natural processes and their cyclicity, the influence of rhythms on the course of natural processes and their interaction. The discipline contains two parts. The first part is devoted to the study of solar activity and its rhythms, changes in the Earth's orbital parameters and its spatial position and related tides of different periods, variations in the Earth's magnetic field and their impact on the Earth's geospheres. The second part is dedicated to the study of rhythms that occur in different geospheres of the earth and have different durations, the influence of natural rhythms on human life and the importance of researching the rhythmicity of processes for predicting changes in the Earth's shells

The survey in the form of a test is conducted after the completion of the teaching of each topic. Creative analytical and analytical and computational works in the form of presentations are prepared in accordance with the schedule of seminar classes. The first modular test is conducted in the last week of October, the second modular test is conducted in the last week of November. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points, writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam
