PR01. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the study of natural-territorial systems at different levels of spatial organization. PR07. Participate in the planning of territories of different hierarchical levels. PR10. Apply geo-information technologies, create and research models of natural-geographic manifestations of the development of geosystems, determine the possibilities and limits of their application. PR14. Formulate scientific hypotheses, determine relevant aspects in fundamental and applied areas of research, develop and manage projects in the field of geography, in particular geomorphology and paleogeography.

Full-time form

The ability to determine the main morphological and morphometric characteristics of the earth's surface; possession of elementary skills of analysis of cartographic materials of various contents.

The content of the discipline reveals the general patterns and regional differences of the topography of the world. The structure of the discipline consists of two parts. The first part is dedicated to the study of general orographic, morphological and morphometric features of the earth's surface, the factors and conditions of their formation, features of morphostructure and morphosculpture, the spectrum of modern exogenous processes. The second part is regional in its content and is devoted to a detailed analysis of the geological structure and geomorphological features of the territory of the continents.

Lecture, independent work, practical session

Performance of practical work, preparation of a presentation, modular control work, exam. Assessment of all types of work, including independent work, is carried out throughout the academic semester. The survey in test and written form is conducted after the completion of teaching of each lecture. Seminars (questions) are defended by performance, in accordance with the schedule of seminar classes. The modular control work is conducted at the last seminar session of the corresponding content module.
