Learning outcomes
Carry out a description and analysis of the international situation, collect from various sources the necessary information about international and foreign policy events and processes. Collect, process and analyze a large amount of information on the state of international relations, foreign policy of Ukraine and other states, regional systems, international communications. Use modern digital technologies, specialized software, databases and information systems to solve complex specialized problems in the field of international relations, public communications and / or regional studies. Understand the role and features of the use of information and communication in modern international relations.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know about: basics of modern information systems and technologies, mathematical bases of information technologies, system methods of research of international relations. Be able to: formulate the goals and objectives of the study, collect the necessary information about events in the country and in the world, to determine the key message, the target audience. Have basic skills: working with a computer, preparing presentations, literacy, formulation and logical presentation of one's own opinion
Course content
Content module 1. Methodological principles of applied statistical analysis in studies of international relations Applied statistical analysis of data in international relations. Descriptive statistics in the study of international events. Estimation of unknown parameters in problems of forecasting international relations. Content module 2. Parametric and non-parametric methods of analysis of political and socio-economic phenomena and events. Testing statistical hypotheses in the study of international relations. Parametric and nonparametric statistical criteria. Correlation and regression analysis in the study of the relationship of political and socio-economic phenomena. Cluster analysis in the study of international processes.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, practical classes, group and individual work in practical classes, group presentations, independent search for quantitative and qualitative information about international events / processes, analysis and presentation of data in the form of analytical documents.
Assessment methods and criteria
Participation in individual and group mini-studies using specific approach, written homework, assessment of activity and participation in discussions, quality of participation and answers during group presentations.
