Learning outcomes
PLO 1 Communicate fluently in English on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists, use English for the organization of effective intercultural communication. PLO 5 Cooperate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 7 Understand the main issues of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PLO 11 Know the principles and techniques of creating the texts of various genres and styles in English and Ukrainian. PLO 24.1 Use the tools of comparative literature to analyze the literary process, modern fiction, its national specificity and artistic features.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the course, students should know the basic prerequisites for the emergence and development of literary phenomena commensurate with styles and directions, the peculiarities of the formation of genres and canons of fiction; to have factual knowledge of the history of Ukrainian and foreign literature of the II half. 20th century - the first decades of the 21st century. Also, students should possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude to the analyzed phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources; interaction and cooperation in learning in exploratory situations.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to study the main ideological-aesthetic and genre-stylistic trends of postmodernism, to deepen basic knowledge of the theory of literature and the history of Ukrainian literature, to improve the skills of professional analysis of artistic texts.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Planned educational activities: oral answers / participation in the discussion, individual creative project; presentation of an individual creative project; modular control work. Teaching methods: lecture, seminar class, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final control form is an exam. During the semester, a student can score a minimum of 36 / a maximum of 60 points. Oral answer, participation in the discussion is evaluated at a minimum of 1 / maximum of 3 points; creative project - minimum 4 / maximum 7 points; presentation - minimum 3 / maximum 6 points. A student can score a minimum of 3 / a maximum of 7 points for a modular test. The exam is assigned a minimum of 24 / a maximum of 40 points. Scale of conformity of grades: "excellent" - 90-100 points; "good" - 75-89 points; "satisfactory" - 60-74 points; "unsatisfactory" - 0-59 points.
