Prerequisites and co-requisites
To access the discipline "Fundamentals of Suggestive Linguistics," a student must have a general background in linguistics, communication theory, psychology, and an understanding of the basics of human higher nervous activity physiology.
Course content
"The course is dedicated to the issues of suggestive linguistics and countersuggestion in the modern development of society. It involves understanding the structure of the suggestive influence frame on human/social behavior, analyzing leading means of suggestive influence, studying modern texts of influence in artistic-poetic, political, advertising, educational, everyday, religious, and virtual communication spheres. The course is aimed at familiarizing students with the current state and terminological toolkit, key objects of the modern direction ""suggestive linguistics"" - phenomena of suggestion/countersuggestion and related concepts - in historically recorded and contemporary communication spheres, particularly in artistic and in the spectrum of verbal/non-verbal means of suggestive influence on individuals and society. Additionally, it aims to develop the skill of recognizing suggestive influence and forming a strategy for protection against communicative/verbal attacks for programming human behavior. "

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Educational activities include assessment works (maximum score 35, minimum - 24 points). Teaching methods involve lectures, seminars (maximum score 5, minimum - 2 points), independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final evaluation is a credit. Throughout the semester, assessment is conducted based on various assignments and evaluation methods. The pass is determined by the student's performance over the entire semester and doesn't involve additional assessment activities. Students who achieve a minimum passing score of 60 receive "passed". Those, who do not reach the minimum passing score, receive a "failed". Students, who get a total score of less than 60 during the semester, must address any deficiencies by completing assignments such as independent papers, essays, or, if necessary, taking a makeup test to pass the assessment. Students, who scored a total of less than 60 points during the semester, must prepare material on the topics they didn't prepare, by writing independent work, essays or, if necessary, a control work.
