            Course content

The aim of the course is to study the basics, origins, and stages of the formation of the Ukrainian literary system, taking into account genre-stylistic and ideological-thematic features, as well as the historical-cultural context. This discipline is the first and fundamental one in the Complex Course "History of Ukrainian Literature". Therefore, the main focus of the discipline is directed towards students acquiring knowledge of book literature as a system, based on the significance of the Bible as the founder of book religion – Christianity, and the cultural interaction of Rus with neighboring states. Another important focus of this discipline is the in-depth mastery of knowledge about the adaptation of the book tradition of the Christian European area by the Rus (Ukrainian) literature in genre-stylistic and ideological-thematic aspects to national traditions.

Semester assessment (60 points) is based on the points obtained by students in the 1st semester (max 30 р.). The number of points depends on the completeness and correctness of the task done by a student. During the semester, assessment is carried out in accordance with the types of work and forms of control. Final assessment - exam. The minimum score for admission to the exam is 36. The exam is estimated at 40 points. The final grade is formed according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam. If a student scores less than 24 points on the exam, they are not added to the semester grade regardless of the number of points obtained during the semester, and in the examination information in the column "final grade" only the number of points obtained during the semester is transferred.
